Music Network Funding - Hitting the high notes on educational tours

€725,000 funding is sweet music to Music Network

Listen, being Irish just wouldn’t be the same without the fantastic cultural wealth and history of our music. Music Network’s focus is on bringing it to life, and spreading that living, breathing part of the heritage throughout the entire country.

Their musical menu is sourced beyond our shores too, and includes jazz, classical and more. At the recent event at the Source Arts Centre in Thurles pictured here, the crowd was treated to an evening of Irish and Basque music. Funding for Music Network throughout 2009 amounted to €725,000, and it gave the organisation a chance to promote great music and musicians in venues all over Ireland. We have to confess to feeling a swell of national pride that it’s helped along through funding support from the Arts Council and ourselves. Encore!
